Max sighed in relief. "Don't do that.... please." He nuzzled her neck and kissed lightly.

Lexie froze. Her ears stood up straight and her tail twitched. Her voice seemed dark. "Don't. Call. Me. Rosie!!" She glared at Colasso and hopped away. Nobody, but one person was allowed to call her that. She tried to keep the outbursts quiet when someone who didn't know said it.
